Ms. Martin’s practice encompasses the defense of employers in the administrative realm and in State and Federal court against claims and actions brought pursuant to Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, equivalent state laws and various common law tort claims. Ms. Martin also performs compliance and preventative advice and consultation to clients on a day-to-day basis regarding the hiring, discipline, and termination of employees, employee complains of harassment and discrimination and requests for leave. Ms. Martin regularly conducts in-house seminars for clients, their employees and managers on harassment and discrimination, wage and hour compliance and general personnel practices, as well as wage and hour and personnel practice audits. In addition, Ms. Martin reviews and consults with employers about their personnel handbooks, policies and procedures and employment contracts. Ms. Martin was included in the 2009 edition of Mountain States Rising Stars in the category of Employment and Labor.
