Controller for a multifamily company

At least 5 years experience and has a CPA.
Looking for someone who is very hands-on, very involved in all financial aspects, can see the big

Location: San Diego, CA
Company Profile: The Company develops and produces software for hi-tech end users. It is well established (over 40 years), profitable and enjoys a high rate of employee tenure. It is a mid-sized company with domestic, international and clients.
Position Profile: The position is new and open due to growth. Initially, the successful candidate will take ownership of the government contracts accounting and compliance functions. Emphasis is on training, developing and managing the staff. The Controller will be a key member of the management team with great exposure and excellent growth opportunities.
Compensation: Compensation is very competitive, negotiable and DOE. Out of town candidates are encouraged to apply as the Company will provide a generous RELOCATION package.
Desirable Qualities:
1. BA in Finance/Accounting required.
2. 10 years of related accounting experience.
3. Prior supervisory experience.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, DAR, CAS and DCAA.
5. Staff mentoring and development skills.
